Event Details

I'm sorry, applications to the surgeries are now closed.

Silicon Valley comes to Cambridge (SVC2C), is running free surgeries for a qualified group of CEOs on Friday the 19th of November (for early stage CEO of a company that has already been incorporated and where the CEO who wishes to attend is working FULL time at the company).

This will be an extraordinary opportunity to meet and learn from some of the leading entrepreneurs and investors in Silicon Valley.

The aims of these sessions are to:

  • Demonstrate the quality of European entrepreneurs to senior Silicon Valley executives and entrepreneurs, offer insight and thought leadership.
  • Stimulate connections and engagement between entrepreneurs and organisations based in the UK and Silicon Valley.

Early Stage ‘Surgery’ Sessions

The Silicon Valley experts will provide intimate mentorship sessions for early stage companies and entrepreneurs. Four ‘surgery’ sessions will run in parallel with the Masterclasses throughout the day, and are open to entrepreneurs who have raised less than GBP 250,000 in capital.

Participants are encouraged to discuss the challenges that face their businesses, raise specific questions and seek guidance from the mentors. The number of participants will be capped at 5 per session to ensure each attendee has an opportunity to raise their specific issues with the group.

The sessions will be broadly grouped by the following topics:

1.    10:10-11:00 -- ‘Patch Work’ -- optimizing available resources

2.    11:00-12:00 -- ‘Neurosurgery’ -- understanding financing

3.    13:30-14:15 -- ‘Outpatients’ -- sustaining business growth

4.    14:45-15:45 -- ‘Emergency Room’ -- anything goes, it’s an emergency

Please note you can register your interest to attend any or all of the sessions by clicking on the links above, filling out the eventbrite registration, and submitting your questions in advance.

Thanks and see you in operating room!

The process for applying to get involved is as follows:

  • Please apply to be considered by 7th November. Referrals can be made by investors, companies themselves or third parties although you should only apply if you are able to attend the event on 19th November.
  • Important As places are strictly limited, it is very likely that we will not be able to include everyone who applies to participate in this event. In this situation, the board of advisers, in collaboration with the Silicon Valley guests will use the information you supplied on the eventbrite form to determine who will be given a seat.
  • All applicants will be notified of the status of their applications by end of play on 12th November.
  • If we are not able to include applicants in the exhibition, we will try to accommodate you at alternative events in the programme if this is at all possible.

Whilst the application is simple, we strongly recommend that you give some thought to the application process - what you put onto the form will be used by the judging committee as the basis for your selection. Only one CEO from any one company can attend due to limitations on space.

Good luck. We hope to see you there.
